Occasionally the Application Developer Framework Desktop Integration (ADFdi) Excel add-in may require troubleshooting. In most cases, the parameters that were initially configured must be verified or re-enabled.

Open a Journal Entry spreadsheet in Excel. |

Verify
the Create
Journal tab appears
in the Excel ribbon.

If the Create
Journal tab is available, click File,
then click Options.
The Excel Options window appears.
Proceed to Step 5.
If the Create Journal tab is unavailable, click File, then click Options, and click Add-ins. The Add-ins window appears.
In the Manage field, select COM Add-ins and click Go. The COM Add-ins pop-up appears.

Enable the Oracle
ADF 11g Desktop Integration Add-In for Excel check
box and click OK. The COM Add-ins pop-up
closes.

Click Trust Center, then click Trust Center Settings. The Trust Center window opens. | ![]() |

Click ActiveX
Settings. Click the Enable
all controls without restrictions and without prompting
radio button. Enable the Safe
mode check box.
Click Macro Settings. The Macro Settings window appears. |

Click the Disable
all macros except digitally signed macros radio button.
Enable the Trust access
to the VBA project object model check box.
Click OK. |

If Oracle ADF 11g Desktop Integration Add-in for Excel does not move to the Active Application Add-ins, it may have been disabled. Follow the steps below to verify ADFdi is disabled.

Options window, click Add-Ins.
At the bottom of the window, in the Manage field, select Disabled Items from the drop down menu and click Go. The Disabled Items pop-up appears. |

Add-In for Excel then
click Enable.

Verify ADFdi is active by clicking
